The Ford Mustang may not thrill people looking for a perfect car, but it does offer an abundance of safety and driver assistance features. When it comes to safety, the Mach-E is top.
The Ford Co-Pilot 360 safety package is standard on all trims and encompasses features such as blind-spot detection with cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping assist, and automated emergency braking, pre-and post-collision braking, and reverse brake assist. A 360° camera and active park-assist features are standard on all trim levels, with the base model being the only exception, where they're optional.
Other additional safety features include:
- Airbags- side-impact, overhead, and knee airbags are featured to protect the torso, passenger's head, and lower extremities, respectively, during an impact collision.
- Pretensioners- These are the automatically tightened seatbelts that anchor the passenger on the perfect seating position in case of collision.
- Anti-lock brakes- This feature works by sensing when a tire has stopped rotating upon extreme braking and will intervene with the brake pressure to allow the tire to rotate. To top it all, a standard front crash prevention system is enabled.
