The 2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty vs 2017 Ram 2500
We all know that if you want to get the job done right, you need to find the right equipment. And if your job includes a substantial amount of hauling and towing, you're going to need a vehicle that can handle anything you throw at it. Your best bet, of course, is a pickup truck that offers top-of-the-line performance, capability, and durability. However, with so many full-size pickup trucks on the market today, how do you know which one is the best one for you?
Luckily, we at Blake Utter Ford in Denison, TX wanted to help you make the right decision by doing a little research for you. We took a look at two of this year's most popular trucks, the 2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty and the 2017 Ram 2500, and put them head to head. Using the base model of each vehicle, we compared the similarities and differences and came out with one clear cut winner. Here's what we found:

The 2017 Ford-F250 Super Duty Overpowers the Competition
With both the Ram 2500 and Ford F-250 being strong competitors, each coming with plenty of power, versatility, and their own little touches of luxury, it was obvious from the beginning that one truck had more to offer in each category. When it comes to performance, the Super Duty's 6.2L V8 2 Valve Gas V8 engine, which churned out an impressive 385 horsepower and 430 lb.-ft. of torque, out-performed the Ram 2500's standard 5.7 HEMI® V8 engine. And although the Ram's Cummins®Turbo Diesel I6 engine offered an imposing 410 horsepower and 800 lb.-ft. of torque, it just wasn't enough to beat Ford's massive 6.7L Power Stroke Turbo Diesel V8. On top of that, the standard towing capacity of the Ford F-250 offered nearly 10,000 lbs. more than the Ram 2500, and more than double the maximum payload. That means you can tow and haul almost twice as much with the Ford Super Duty.
